Center for Cognitive Disorders, located in Osage Beach (OBCCD) is a 16-bed adult behavioral health hospital that has openings for an Intake Specialist. This position REQUIRES a LPN or RN. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for facilitating admissions to OBCCD. The Intake Specialist will be the primary point of contact for incoming calls/faxes from referral sources. Duties include reporting referral/admission activity in clear and concise terms to the Charge Nurse and Director of Intake, document referrals completely, coordinate with referring facilities on updates of bed availability, make follow up calls to referral sources that have patients on waiting list, communicate efficiently and respectfully to on-call psychiatrist with all referrals, respond to each referral source regarding the status of their referral.

The Intake Specialist candidate must have effective communication skills over the phone, via email and in person. This individual needs to have strong customer service skills, basic medical knowledge and a history of performing well in team setting and experience in the medical field. They will be goal orientated, reliable, trustworthy and above reproach.

Minimum Education: Associates Degree

Training, Certifications, Registrations and Licenses: Licensed healthcare professional (LPN, RN)

Minimum experience: One-year experience working in the medical field of nursing

This is a full-time position that has a set schedule with 12 hour rotating shift (8:30a - 9:00p) that includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, every other weekend. Benefits include paid vacation, sick time, personal day and holidays (including your birthday); health, dental, vision and life insurance.

Pay to be determined by experience and license.
